Padre Baseball

Dane discovered that the Padres were playing at home, so we attended their baseball game against the Houston Astros. Petco Stadium is wonderful - the only problem was the pesky wind.

Sea World - San Diego

Kippi and Jody with a background of flowers at the entrance to Sea World. We love the green growing things and the flowers.
Montana and Colorado are not green and growing yet.

The Dolphin show

Dolly sure can jump!

We are impressed with the leaping ability of the sea mammals.
Flock of flamingo with their backwards knees. Hody, the photographer (in her Paris Hilton sunglasses).
Up close and personal with the flamingos.

The San Diego Temple

The San Diego Temple is a marvelous structure.
It radiates light and is truly an incredible sight! The Angel Moroni

Signs of Spring!

We have had a long, snowy winter,
so signs of Spring are welcome indeed!

Calves
Crocus coming up in the garden -
I bought these bulbs in Amsterdam on the way back from Kenya.

The carwash is hoppin'.My car gets a much-needed scrub!

Bo-Cat sunning himself on the porch.
Rolly-cat near the blooming crocus.
Res and Bo in the north forty hunting for prairie dogs.

The Ward Easter Egg hunt.
Lenny scrapes out the garage.
Pussy willows - sadly, these are not from Johanna's yard...

You Guessed it - More Snow!

On Saturday, we awoke to MORE SNOW! The trees were laden with it:
This tree is on the corner of our property.
This is the white landscape from our deck.
This shot is from "downtown" Dolores - the piles of snow from the roof almost reaches to the eaves.

A Trip to Billings

It was great seeing my Lockwood teacher-friends!

We went to a cake decorating contest:

Notice how much this cake looks like Dane!
Even Stu got into the act - he drove over from Bismarck Thursday evening after work. It was great seeing him and playing with our Billings friends.

It's Winter in Colorado!

It's 7:15 a.m. on Monday, February 4 - SNOW DAY! Actually, it's our third snow day in 7 days. Is this winter in Colorado?
I know it looks like an upside-down spider, but that's our inverted picnic table - the wind tossed it out of the patio.Juan is out scraping snow in the 'hood.
BRRRRR it's cold!
Quick, get inside where it's warm!
The snow is piled even deeper in Dolores.
