The IOL Team Visits Cortez!

IOL is short for Inside Out Learning, which is a program of teaching techniques designed to work within the established curriculum. The teaching techniques engage students and help them take ownership of their learning. IOL techniques are taught by amazing educators in Kenya and Uganda. The founder of IOL, Marilynn, brought them to the US for more training and Cortez was on the training schedule. Kathy traveled with the US team when we went to Kenya in 2009. She and Lilian are old friends1Carter enjoyed reading to Lilian, Dorcas, and Jane. Visiting with Dr Houser

On the last day of our visit, we went to talk to Dr Houser, the Superintendent of Montezuma Cortez Re-1 District. He grew up in Kenya where his parents were Baptist missionaries. He and Stephen had lots in common as they are both District Superintendents.
