Takin' Care of Business, part 3
To celebrate the successful conclusion of the first quarter, we hosted a "Takin' Care of Business" activity. We took our lunches across the highway to Riverside Park and enjoyed a variety of delightful pursuits.
Big cookies from Safeway were gobbled with glee. The double chocolate cookies and sugar cookies were preferred over oatmeal raisin - no surprise there!
It was a little chilly in the shade.

We're Baaaaack!
Ten days after flying out of Salt Lake City, we're back! We look a little haggard after the 36 elapsed hours from the time we checked in at the Nairobi airport until we landed at the SLC airport.
Hands with Hope Safehouse
The Safehouse, or orphanage, was established by Pastor Fred and his wife, Alice. Together, they care for 22 orphaned children.Pastor Fred and Marilynn with two of the cows. One of the two boys' rooms.

Notice that the lion is the same color as the grass -he's invisible if he wants to be.
He boldly walked across the road between parked vans filled with excited humans.
Look at all the tourists! The drivers have CBs and they let each other know when an animal has been sighted.
The big cat takes a leisurely drink.
