The Amboseli Sopa Lodge was an oasis in the dusty Kenyan interior.
We were greeted by a Masai warrior dressed in traditional clothing and then handed a wet washcloth to clean the dust from our faces. Sopa means "welcome" in SwahiliThe rooms were individual thatched huts.

This is the only place we stayed without mosquito nets.
